Me and Inkscape

This is a logo I designed for a businessman whose business goes by the name 'Gauri Distributors'. This was pretty simple. And here is the svg file of this logo. 

This is Krishna(God)'s Network of love wherein all living entities are connected with him as his own part and parcel. They all have loving relation with Him and he is also equally loving towards all of them. From their love towards Krishna arises their love towards each other. I have tried to depict the love connection towards Krishna and each other with lines. The silhouette of Krishna I downloaded from google image search and used trace bitmap command to convert .jpg to .svg and here is the svg file.

This is the forehead marking that Vaishnavas in India carry especially the Hare Krishnas. Made this using the rectangle tool and editing by use of 'object to path' command. It has come out just like the way I wanted. So, below is how it looks on the face of devotees of Vishnu or Krsna.

I made the title of this blog yesterday and updated it. I have used the font AbodeJV from here . And I've used Jitter Nodes option from Menu under Extensions to warp the text. I think it just fell a little short of the blog page width. I have a poor sense of color combinations. I hope someone could help me learn using right color combinations. 

I created this i-ball company logo using inkscape. Could not eliminate those white lines, if you notice. The SVG file of the logo is  here .

All the graphics on the internet and on billboards excites me a lot. I keep thinking 'How can I make such wonderful digital graphic art', though I neither have training nor talent of art/drawing. And then, I found Inkscape . And my life has changed since then. Now, whenever I get time I try my luck at Inkscape. Its a sweet and simple software for vector graphic art. I'll keep posting my experiments and output on this blog. Hope readers will find it worthy of existence.
